another day....

~ not another dollar that's for sure. I hate being caught in the middle of feuding friends (or co-workers). Its terrible when one is always trying to gain allegiance by all who will listen. I like them both, but when the bickering stopped and they both stopped talking to the other, the true colours can be seen. I am not perfect, but I couldn't work in a hostile environment - the scenario: the two woman were friends, the partners/husbands are friends... one day, Friend A goes out with the other couple and is introduced to some scumbag, and well, to shorten this - she breaks up with the boyfriend of 17 years, and lets the s/b move in after a couple of months, and surprise - surprise, by the end of the year, she's married to him. He's a accused 'woman beater' - I say accused because this is all hearsay. I don't trust him - he gives me the creeps and everyone is convinced he's only out for her dosh. After everything that's happened to her, I really hope that she loves him - because if he fucks her up, she won't have many friends to pick up the pieces when he's thrown in jail or whatever. And if I am wrong, and he really does care and treats her well, then good- I hope he was worth it.

whatever happened to integrity

Over the past year, I have spent (as a part of my job) reconcilling claims and reviewing project files. These files are then sent to another office where they are reviewed and sent for payment. I feel I have done a fairly accurate job and expect the same of the office receiving them. Obviously this is not the case. What I did encounter was a person who spent more time on MSN, Facebook and MySpace during work hours and did a half ass job. Its unfortunate too, I really liked them and respected them. As this person has now left the department, left to go shack up with someone outside the city, good for them, I was pleased they were following their heart. There is a new person who has been filing in and trying to make sense of ALL the work that was not completed or was totally wrong. The expenditures made by that person, is enough to make me sick. The wastefulness of money that could have went elsewhere to benefit the hungry - instead was used to buy things I can't mention here (but online social sites on a co. credit card should give you an idea of what other crap was purchased), and it goes on. I don't understand how this person can live with themself for what they have done.They are now claiming to be a motivational speaker and life coach. Kudo's to them, but I don't think they should be allowed to look after any financial matters - as they definitely lack the integrity. Aside from that I admire there courage, it is truely remarkable. I just don't admire their work ethics and these poor decisions has ultimately cost this department a lot of money.

BBC Canada

What a crock of crap - the channel which I subscribed to and actually paid dollars for is not even a' real' BBC channel - f-krs. I noticed that BBC America is getting Torchwood Season Two on the 26th January, and of course, Canada, who partially produced the programme last season - isn't even getting it. Double fkers.

Now I am tired, have a crap load of reading to do about fkg politics, my least favourite topic of the day. All fkg poli's are lying scum anyway. If I get anything out of this course, I hope it influences who ever does the bloody programming for BBC Canada or CBC.
